The matches for the Asia Cup qualifiers 2022 were held at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Muscat, Oman Cricket, from the 20th to the 24th of August. Four teams competed in the Asia Cup qualifiers 2022 with the hopes of taking first place and earning a berth in the Asia Cup 2022, which was held from August 27 to September 11.

These qualifications are being played in a round-robin fashion, and the participants are the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Each team competed in three games total, and the team that finished in first place will advance to Group A of the Asia Cup 2022.

After a much-needed victory against United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong was able to coast their way into the competition and complete the group stage. They will compete in the tournament with India and Pakistan in Group A, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan will make up Group B.

20th of August: Hong Kong kicks out their campaign with a victory decided by a narrow margin

The Asia Cup qualifiers 2022 got off to a strong start with Hong Kong claiming victory against Singapore by a score of 8 runs in the opening match. In their first innings, Hong Kong scored 148 runs while losing nine wickets.
